Consultation Day - July 2006
The weather was red hot for the consultation day in July 2006 and we soon ran out of drinks but everyone had a great time not only approving the outline plans for the development but there was face-painting, spray-on tattoos, ballon art and a special play area for the little ones provided by Sure-Start. At long last something was beginning to move and the residents could sense the excitment of the prospective changes on the street.
Make a Difference Day - November 2005
After many years of campaigning for something to be done with the derelict park in Pensbury Street things really began to move in the right direction in November 2005. Spring bulbs and bedding plants were planted and the graffiti removed. Local residents, children, local councillors and community developement workers all got stuck in on a bitterly cold day to "Make a Difference"
